Making Room - Self Reflection

Candace Curry

I make room in my life for new experiences, for new connections, for new resources.

I spend my days in search of these new experiences. While I appreciate the familiarity of my routine, I am open to switching things up a bit.

I keep my mental health in check when I exercise my brain. Being a part of something new challenges my mind. It allows me to explore the extent of my wisdom and intelligence. I love putting myself to the test.

New experiences introduce me to new people. I am open to learning more about others. Sharing thoughts and ideas is a great way to achieve brotherhood.

When I try something fresh and unfamiliar, I come face to face with my fears. Being brave allows me to confront whatever keeps me from excelling. It is when I display courage, that I am able to push through challenges.

My strength of character grows with each new event that I am involved in.

I share memorable moments with friends and family. It is important to embrace their passions even if I am less interested in the activities than they are. Making room for their desires is an indication that I am making room for them in my life.

Today, newness is more exciting than intimidating. I know that the only thing to fear is fear itself. When I commit to putting doubts aside, I open myself up to blessings in many forms.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How do I determine when an upcoming experience is unsuitable for me?
2. How do I prepare myself to make use of new experiences?
3. How do I keep myself engaged when I am having emotional difficulty?
